Places for a Burger, Fries, and Shake Date in Davis County

I’m always up for a good burger, fries, and shake! This post has been in my brain for a while and I’m excited to have it published for you all to enjoy! You might be surprised by one or two of the locations that I put on this list. There are a lot of places you can go for a burger, but these places are the best of the best and my top pick if I’m craving one for date night.

The Best Burgers in Davis County

Tony Burgers

I slept on Tony Burgers for a while due to some food aversions I had when pregnant with my now six-year-old, but I recently rediscovered my love for their food and I won’t ever go back! I love their fries the most of any fries because they are thinner and crispy. The shoestring onion rings are also a favorite of mine. I always get the Smoove Garlic burger and will sometimes swap my patty out for grilled chicken. Yum!

Habit Burger

I most often order the Grilled Chicken Sandwich at Habit Burger, but their burgers are solid as well. I love that you can order half-and-half sides so you can get both regular and sweet potato fries or regular fries with onion rings. My favorite burger here is the Teriyaki Burger with cheese.

Burly Burger

Burly is located about as far north in Davis County as you can go, but definitely worth the drive! Their burgers are delicious, their fries are battered, and their shakes are out of this world. If you’re looking for an epic shake with your meal, Burly Burger is the place to go! Follow their Instagram (@burlyburger) for mouthwatering photos. If you’re not feeling like a burger, you can try one of their chicken sandwiches or get one of their “burly” salads that are packed with a lot of meat and veggies.

Nielsen’s Custard

High-scale fast food burgers that are made fresh so they take a bit longer to get to you but are well worth the wait! Order a concrete and fries to complete your meal. And if you’re not feeling like a burger, I highly recommend their grinder sandwiches which are my go-to. The Layton location only serves food until 5 pm so this is a good option for a lunch date or early dinner. I’m not sure about the Bountiful location, but everything I found suggests they serve their food all day.

Pace’s Drive-In

I’ve never had a burger from Pace’s, which feels like a crime, but any time I see someone post there I think they look really good. Pace’s has a classic drive-in atmosphere with your favorite burgers, fries, corn dogs, rainbows, or their other well-known ice cream classics.

Hug-Hes

This probably isn’t the first place you’d think to go for a burger, but you won’t regret your order! All of their burgers are made with half a pound of ground chuck and are so delicious! I highly suggest splitting a burger and fries here, just because of the size. Sharing a meal is perfect for date night, so this is a great option.

Red Robin

If we’re going for a burger date, we often hit up Red Robin in Layton. They’re one of the top-rated Red Robin’s in Utah and great with gluten-free food, which is important because my husband has celiac. Classic burgers, classic steak fries, and pretty decent shakes. Red Robin isn’t always my first choice when I’m craving a burger, but decent and we enjoy it.

Are there any locations you’d add to this list? Which new to you burger stops are you going to visit first?
