Restaurants in the Bountiful Area Great for Date Night
I often see people asking for recommendations of where to eat on a date night, across various social media channels and groups. What qualifies as a good place to eat for date night varies from couple to couple. It might even vary from date night to date night for a single couple. One night you might feel like a good drive-thru burger and another night you’ll be looking for the highest quality burger in the area.
I’ve put together three Davis County date night dining guides based on area. This guide to restaurants for date night focuses on the Bountiful area including Bountiful, Woods Cross, North Salt Lake, and Centerville. You’ll find a variety of types of food from pizza to sandwiches to international cuisine. Let me know if there are any places on the list that you love to frequent for date night or if there are any you think we should add! I hope this list gives you some new places to add to your list to visit for date night in the coming year.
The Best Restaurants for Date Night in the Bountiful Area
Ti Amo Wood Fired Pizza
This restaurant is at the top of our list to try, and I’m a little ashamed to admit that it’s been there for a couple of years. Ownership recently changed, but the food is still the same and they continue to get great reviews! Go for pizza, pasta, gelato, or even a delicious salad. You’ll love the atmosphere and the authentic Italian food.
Arella Pizzeria
Arella has become one of our go-to places for a date because they have great gluten-free options. The menu is unique and delicious and has options that are gluten-free and dairy-free if that’s needed. Their atmosphere is perfect for date night, and it’s something different that you’re not going to get when you order pizza anywhere else! Go prepared to try everything on the menu because it all looks and sounds and smells amazing!
Pizzeria Limone
One of my personal favorite places to get pizza in the area. Pizzeria Limone has the most delicious and unique topping combinations on its menu. All of their salads look and taste delicious. They have delicious soups, sides, and desserts, including amazing gelato. And I can’t go without ordering a lemonade. You can’t go wrong with anything you order from Pizzeria Limone and their restaurant is a classic, clean, and fun place for a date. It’s not extensive, but the Bountiful location has some patio seating that is well shaded and a great place to eat during the warmer months.
Vito’s
Vito’s is only open for lunch and only on weekdays. Their Philly sandwiches are the talk of the town, and everyone was happy when the owner opened a storefront after running a food truck in the area for years. This is a must visit for a lunch date!
Thyme and Seasons
I’ve never personally been to this restaurant but I’ve heard amazing things about it. The chef caters to any dietary restrictions or food preferences. And I’ve been told that there isn’t really a menu, but that you’ll always love what is brought to your table to try!
Plates and Palates
A locally owned salad and sandwich cafe with unique flavors and delicious food! Their food is homemade and high quality and you can’t go wrong with whatever you order.
Mandarin
If you ask anyone in the Davis County area where to get good Chinese food, a majority of the time you’ll be directed to The Mandarin. They’re a staple in the area and the perfect place for a delicious and fun date!
Joy Luck
We frequent Joy Luck for lunch dates, dinner dates and even takeout. They have great gluten free options, good prices and delicious food. We love ordering family-style and sharing our dishes when we go out to eat. It’s the perfect option for date night.
El Matador
Another Davis County classic that is frequented by a lot of locals. I wish I could say we’ve been here often, but we’ve been there less than a handful of times for date night and it’s been years since our last visit. We’re adding it to our list to go again soon!
Santorini’s Greek Grill
This Greek restaurant has two locations in Davis County and I’ve heard nothing but good about them! Give them a try and see what you think about their fresh food, sides, and desserts.
Smokin’ Bones BBQ
If you like barbecue, you’ll love Smokin’ Bones! My husband is always disappointed that he can’t eat the brisket pizza anymore. Any time one of our favorite local foody friends posts about it, my mouth waters.
Fat Fish
We’re not sushi people, so we’ve never tried this restaurant, but I’ve heard a lot of good things from other people who have! They also serve pho and a few entrees from the wok, so it seems like a place we’ll need to check out!
Royal India
If you like Indian food, you need to try this classic restaurant on Bountiful Main Street. We’ve never had Indian food, but it’s something I’ve wanted to try so this restaurant is on our date night bucket list for the coming year.
Janet’s Sunshine Cafe
When I was in high school, I went to Sunshine Cafe for dinner before a dance, and it was delicious! A few years into our marriage, I introduced my husband to the cafe for brunch, and it was just as good as I remembered. Locally owned, quaint and has a true diner or cafe feel. You’re going to experience yummy, homemade food here!
Hug-Hes Cafe
I love the atmosphere at the Centerville Hug-Hes and the way they take a familiar, classic food and add their signature to it. Their burgers are huge and highly underrated. But you also can’t go wrong with any other sandwich on their menu or any of their salads.
If you try one of these restaurants for date night, or if there’s one on the list that you already frequent for date night, let us know!
