Where to Get Donuts in Davis County - National Donut Day June

One of the year's best days happens the first Friday in June every single year. It's National Donut Day!!! National Donut/Doughnut Day started during WWI. Each year, we celebrate the Salvation Army Doughnut Lassies serving doughnuts to soldiers stationed in France. The first official "Doughnut Day" celebrated those Doughnut Lassies and helped to raise money for struggling families during the Great Depression. Now we use it as an excuse to eat more delicious pastries, but it's fun to know the history behind these random holidays and add more meaning to them. National Donut Day falls on Friday, June 7th in 2024.

When: Friday, June 7th
Location:
A bakery near you (see suggestions below)
Cost: Donuts cost anywhere from $0.50 to $1.50 a piece.

If you're planning on celebrating donut day, I would suggest ordering your donuts ahead of time or stopping by first thing in the morning. In years past, we haven't made it to a bakery before evening hits and by then, they're usually out. Who wouldn't want to celebrate National Donut Day? Any excuse to indulge in one of my favorite treats!

Where to Find the Best Donuts in Davis County

The Best Grocery Store Donuts in Davis County

Dick's Market

2280 S Orchard Dr, Bountiful // 84 West Parrish Lane, Centerville
This has always been my go-to location for donuts. A few years ago, Dick's Market merged with the local Fresh Markets. As a result, the bakeries changed a bit. In my opinion, the Bountiful location has the best donuts now.

Bowman's Market

326 Main Street, Kaysville
After many suggestions from our neighbors a few years back, we finally tried Bowman's Donuts and they did not disappoint. They're our go-to location for Saturday morning donut runs now. We love that they have mini glazed donuts that are the perfect size for younger kids. I've been told that their donuts go on sale each night, so if there is anything left, you could grab one as part of your date night. As a bonus, Bowman’s recently added to the store and shifted their bakery into the new addition, including a drive-up window. Drive-thru donuts are a game changer, especially when they’re this delicious!

Lee’s Marketplace

75 N Redwood Rd, North Salt Lake
I haven’t had the chance to try these grocery store bakery donuts, but I’ve heard good things about them so they’re on our list this year. This would be a great option if you live in the Bountiful/North Salt Lake area!

Donut Bakeries in Davis County

JJ Donuts

15 US-89 Ste 4, North Salt Lake
This is Davis County’s newest donut shop and I have been seeing good things shared about them on social media. We’re definitely going to try them out this year!

Parsons' Bakery

535 W 2600 S, Bountiful
I haven't had one of their donuts in a while because we don't live right down the street like we used to, but their donuts are some of my favorites. "Parsons' Bakery creates family traditions for each generation."

Banbury Cross

330 W Parrish Lane, Centerville // 2029 North Main Street, Layton
Banbury Cross has two locations in Davis County and they are delicious!!! We were invited to VIP events for both openings and have been multiple times since. The Layton location has a drive-thru, making it convenient for when you want to get donuts in your pajamas.

Berry Station (Grateful Donut Company)

283 N Flint Street, Kaysville
Berry Station is primarily known for its frozen yogurt and bubble/fish waffle concoctions. But it’s also the location of the Grateful Donut Company. They offer mini cake donuts that you can order on their own or in a “donut mound”, served covered in sauces and toppings.

Cross E Ranch

3500 N 2200 W, Salt Lake
Yes, their address is technically Salt Lake, but if you take the Center Street exit in North Salt Lake and drive west, you’ll find them, so I add their things to everything Davis County Dates. If you have never had Cross E Ranch donuts, you are missing out! You can find them on the ranch during Baby Animal Days and the Fall Festival, but occasionally they’ll do a drive-thru event when you can buy them outside of that timeframe. National Donut Day is one of those times. Order your donuts online and pick them up on National Donut Day. They will have Glazed Apple Cider Cake Donuts, Cinnamon-Sugar Apple Cider Donuts, and a special new Lemon Poppyseed Donut.

Caffe Torino

58 N Main Street, Farmington
They aren't necessarily known for donuts, but I’ve tried their cronut and they are delicious! I got a chocolate-flavored one, but they also come in other flavors, including delicious seasonal options. Each cronut is filled with custard and is as delicious of a pastry as you'd expect.

Santorini’s Greek Grill

Santorini’s has a Greek donut called Loukoumades. These are donut like pastries dusted in powdered sugar and drizzled in honey. Not your traditional donut, but a delicious option!

Wiki Wiki

This is another one that isn’t technically donuts, but I think malasadas fall into the same category, and they’re super delicious! These pastries are stuffed with a variety of delicious flavored fillings or you can order them plain. The best part is, you preorder and pickups are on Fridays, so you can guarantee you’ll get something delicious to enjoy for the holiday!

Donut Kabobs

We had the opportunity to try Donut Kabobs at a local festival one summer and they were delicious. Check their social media for information about where they'll be each night.

Tasty's

612 N Main St, Kaysville
This is one place that we've never been but that comes highly recommended by a few neighbors. I did see that they have one of my favorites, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and coconut flakes, YUM!

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

968 North Main Street, Layton
Everyone gets a free doughnut in celebration of the holiday! Stop by and grab yours before they run out.

If you aren't able to make donuts part of your date night activities Friday, June 7th, find time to stop and grab your donuts sometime during the day. At the end of the night or after the kids are in bed, sit down together and enjoy your pastries!

Where will you be stopping for your donut? What flavor of donut do you always reach for first?
