Haunts and Thrills for Spooky Date Nights in Davis County

I'm going to be honest with you, I do not enjoy being scared, so my husband and I will be steering clear of the majority of the activities listed below. But I know that a lot of people LOVE October and all of the Halloween festivities that come with it. There are a lot of fun fall festivals in the area, but I also wanted to make sure you knew about all of the frights and scares that you can submit yourselves to this month. You have a few weeks to enjoy this spooky madness so get out there and enjoy!

Haunted Attractions in Davis County

Frightmares

Where: Lagoon, Farmington (375 North Lagoon Dr, Farmington)
When: September 6 - November 3

This is one of the more well-known scary attractions in Davis County. During Frightmares, Lagoon is filled with frightening fun for all ages. You’ll want to check out their website to find the spooky fun and attractions right for you, including a few new things added this year.

Haunted Corn Maze in Farmington

Cost: $8-$14 depending on the night
Where: Cabela’s Farmington - 391 Cabelas Dr, Farmington (enter on the north side of Cabelas)
When: Open through October 31st (Haunted corn maze happens Wednesdays - Saturdays and on Halloween night)

Not much is known about this corn maze because this is the first year it has been open. You can enjoy a family friendly corn maze on Mondays and Tuesdays or a haunted experience the rest of the week.

Nightmare Acres

Cost: $13-$30 depending on other activities you want to enjoy
Where: Black Island Farms (2075 S 4000 W, Syracuse)
When: Open until November 2nd (Nightmare Acres available Thursdays from 7 pm to 10 pm and Fridays/Saturdays from 7 pm to 11 pm)

A haunted corn maze for older children and brave adults. Wind your way through all the twists and turns of our four-acre haunted corn maze, not knowing what's waiting around each corner. Recommend for children 12 years of age or older and brave adults. They’ve also added fun zombie apocalypse laser tag to the maze in the last couple of years!

Halloween Nights of Terror - Spooky Escape Rooms

Where: Great Room Escapes - 525 Ring Road, Layton
When: Business hours through October
Cost: $29.95 per person

Great Room Escape is adding extra scare to one of their games, The Cabin. Special guests may make an appearance in your game if you book The Cabin escape during October.

Haunted Kay's Cross

Cost: Unknown
Where: 388 Boynton Road, Kaysville
When: Dates and times aren’t listed for this year, but tickets are. Give them a call if you want to visit.

Haunted House Drive

Like a Christmas lights drive, but more spooky! There are a lot of houses that go all out with decorations each year for Halloween. Animatronics, lights, massive skeletons, and some even play movies on the side of the house. This has become a favorite activity of ours for the last few years.

Haunted Forest

Where: 557 Oakwood Place, Farmington
When: October 25th and 26th, 6 pm - 9:30 pm
Cost: $12 per person (all proceeds go to Gardner Granny Orphan Home in Kenya)

PG haunt from 6-7:30, PG-13 haunt from 8-9:30. Haunted forest, outdoor movie, free donuts and face painting.

House of Screams - Haunted House in Layton

Where: 1069 N 3300 W, Layton
When:
Fridays and Saturdays, October 11th to October 31st, 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Cost:
$2 per person donation OR $1 with a non-perishable food item donation for the food bank

5000+ square foot haunted house featuring haunted tunnels, actors, animatronics, and jump scares. If you do not want to be scared, they’ll give you a glow stick so the scarers know to keep things mild.

Hidden Lake Haunts - Haunted House in Bountiful

Where: 277 Hidden Lake Drive, Bountiful
When:
Fridays and Saturdays, October 11th to October 26th, 7 pm to 10 pm, October 31st 7 pm - 10 pm
Cost:
One non-perishable food item per person, to be donated to the Bountiful Food Pantry.
