Bûche de Noël is the French name for a Christmas cake shaped like a log; in English it roughly translates to Yule Log cake. This one is a heavenly chocolate cake rolled with peppermint buttercream, coated in chocolate ganache then sprinkled with confectioners sugar to resemble lightly fallen snow. Occasionally marzipan is used to form mushrooms or other forest items, but we will keep this one fairly straightforward. This class requires some patience and a little bit of skill, but don’t be afraid to give it a shot! Chef Jake will walk you through the ins-and-outs of this delicious dessert and hopefully it becomes one of your holiday traditions!
