When I envision a pumpkin patch date night, I remember just how much I love the fall season, even if I'm not too excited about Halloween and scary things.
A few years ago we drove all the way to Thanksgiving Point for our first corn maze experience because I didn't think that there were any here locally. Now I know that we can support local farms and have some fall fun all at the same time!
Most people seem to wait until October hits to start their autumn activities, but I've decided that fun needs to start sooner so that we can take full advantage of opportunities for fall fun and romance. A lot of pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and other fall festivals start in the next couple of weeks. I wanted you to have all of the details so that you can start enjoying your fall date nights then as well!
This year’s Magic on the Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival will start Wednesday, May 31st, with all artists finishing their work Friday night. We love walking down Bountiful Main Street, seeing the amazing talent that our community has, and chatting with friends and neighbors who we run into while we're out.
I love summer for a lot of reasons, but one of those is the outdoor concerts and other events. The concerts in Davis County are a great way to spend your evenings together. They are free to the public and provide an opportunity to support local talent.
For those of you who are looking for date night fun this weekend, we've compiled a list of almost 10 different things going on in the area that sound like a great way to say so long to 2023 and head happily into 2024.
If you’ve ever wanted that bundled up, nighttime ice skating experience for date night, you’re in luck! Bountiful has an outdoor ice skating opportunity during the winter months, as well as an indoor rink you can enjoy all year round! Here are some tips for making a date of it!
Davis County has three different performing arts centers where you can go to enjoy local talent in one of your favorite musicals or plays. They are all great theatres run by amazing people who have a goal to keep music and the arts alive in our community. They would all make a great addition to your next date night!
One of my favorite summer date nights is Summer Nights with the Stars! These summer concerts are hosted by the Davis Arts Council at the Kenley Amphitheater in the middle of Layton Commons Park. Each summer they pull together a wide range of artists to perform on their outdoor stage. Most of the concerts are music based, but every so often they will have comedians or other entertainment as well.
This time of year is when everyone starts to think about ways that they can serve their community and those in need. I love to see all of the ways that people around me are giving back to those less fortunate. I've also seen quite a few couples incorporating service into a date night or two throughout the year and think it's a fantastic idea! So if you're looking for a new date night idea during the holiday season or the winter months following, this post is for you!
When I updated the winter date night ideas post last year, I added axe throwing and going to eat good barbecue after to the list. As soon as I thought of the idea, I knew we needed to do it, so I’ve got it planned for one of our dates this fall and knew I needed to share it with all of you so you could do it too!
I have been a fan of The Improvables for a long time now and have attended many of their shows, even before I met my husband. I’ve seen them perform in three different venues and have been extremely entertained at every show I’ve attended. If you’re looking for a new, family and budget friendly date night activity, you should definitely check out one of their shows! You’ll come away laughing, and you can’t go wrong with a date night that makes you laugh.
National Fishing and Boating Week takes place the first week of June and I thought you might want to plan a date night to celebrate! This post contains everything that you need to know to plan your fishing date(s) or getaway for the week.
The last few years, I’ve put together a Holiday Date Night Countdown list that you could download for free, along with a cute, printable advent calendar to put all of your date night plans into. This year, things are so chaotic with plans changing constantly. So I decided to create this post of fun holiday activities happening in Davis County, for you to bookmark and refer back to often! I will be updating it as we hear about events, or as others are brought to life to spread cheer this season.
I’m so glad that CenterPoint has been able to adjust and create some events we can safely attend and support live community theater for date night.
Mini golf is a classic date night activity but it’s one that we hadn’t done for quite a while. I love how laid back it is, compared to a real round of golf or even playing somewhere like Top Golf. We didn’t keep score and were often playing holes a couple of times. The signs and the decor make it a lot more fun as well. If it’s been a while since you went mini golfing, this is a must do date night activity. It’s great for a summer night when you can enjoy the gorgeous weather while doing something fun!
Some people get really serious about their geocaching and really enjoy doing it. Whether this is a one time activity, something you do together every so often, or something that becomes a hobby every time you are out and about as a couple; you'll have fun exploring and playing together in Davis County
