Pizza and Arcade Games at Louie's Pizzeria in Layton - Bucket List Date Night

We’ve officially crossed the first date night off of our 2025 Date Night Bucket List and it was a lot of fun! On our date night ideas list for playing in Davis County was to have pizza at Louie’s Pizzeria in Layton and play arcade games at the adjoining Main Street Arcade! This was an activity that I did with each of our kids in 2024, on one-on-one dates with them and it was a lot of fun. When I saw that Louie’s has gluten-free pizza options and a well-thought-out gluten-free disclaimer, I knew I wanted to take my husband on a date there too. (My husband has celiac disease and we share more of that content on Davis County Gluten Free.)

Location: Louie’s Pizzeria and Main Street Arcade (1095 N Main St, Layton)

If you’re looking for good pizza in Davis County, Louie’s Pizzeria is some of the best! Their crust has a crisp exterior but is soft and chewy on the inside, and the garlic butter they brush on it is perfect. The specialty pizzas are unique and flavorful and really delicious! I personally love their Piggy Pie which features a white garlic sauce, pineapple, and candied bacon. Their barbecue chicken pizza is another favorite and I love their unique flavor spin with the feta crumbles added to the top of classic barbecue pizza toppings. The menu includes calzones, salads, dessert pizzas, breadsticks, and cheese breads. Their cheese bread with marinara and ranch dipping sauces are a must order of mine. The perfect date night meal for me, if my husband didn’t eat gluten free, would be to share a side salad, cheese bread, and 10” pizza, and maybe get a dessert pizza if we’re feeling ambitious!

The atmosphere at Louie’s in Layton is fun, relaxed, clean, and enjoyable! It’s a smaller space with colorful decor, fun music, and the noise of arcade games in the background. You’ll find a few booths and tables in the dining area. There’s a jukebox in the corner that you can use to choose music and you’ll find foosball and a basketball shooting game in the dining area that you can play for free, while you wait for your food or even after you eat if the games in the other room aren’t your style. We loved sitting and chatting while we waited for our food, and we didn’t feel like it was too noisy and could still have our connected conversations in that space.

The highlight of my time on dates with my kids last year was the arcade room that adjoins Louie’s Pizzeria. It’s part of Louie’s but run as a separate business, Main Street Arcade. They have a variety of games from classics like Pacman and Galaga to platformers like Mario Bros and Donkey Kong to modern games, fighter games, and even board games like Clue and Sorry and Exploding Kittens. Each of the games takes quarters, but you can use an ATM and a change machine at the entrance to get the quarters you need. On our date, I enjoyed watching my husband play a couple of his favorite arcade games. We spent the majority of our arcade time and a solid handful of quarters on a two-player game that we played through all three levels, which was a lot of fun!

Our bucket list date to Louie’s Pizzeria and Main Street Arcade was a lot of fun! I enjoyed leftovers of my pizza and cheese bread the next day while enjoying the memories of our date. We’re definitely planning on going back, probably on more family adventures. I’d recommend Louie’s in Layton for a guy’s night, date night, family outing, or parent-child night out. Louie’s Pizza and Arcade is nostalgic, fun, delicious and a hidden gem in Davis County that I hope continues to become more well-known!
