Every time we drive past Orlando's on Main Street in Kaysville, one of us says something about how we need to eat there. It look us way too long to follow through on that plan, but we finally tried them out a couple of years ago and we’ve been going back often ever since!
After you've finished dinner, check out one of the nearby activities! Catch a movie at the Kaysville Theater just a few blocks south of Orlando's for $3-$4. You could also head to across the freeway to Boondocks. They have bowling, mini golf, arcade games, laser tag and more! Or throw some axes at Hatchet Jaxe Axe Throwing, also across the freeway near Boondocks.
Where: 141 North Main Street, Kaysville
Cost: $7-$14 per plate
We love the atmosphere at Orlando's! It's cozy but there is a lot of space. I felt like we could have an intimate conversation without being overheard but the energy in the room is great! The layout is open and the restaurant is always very clean. The decor is fun and fitting for the feel of the restaurant as well. Our favorite part of Mexican restaurants is the chips and salsa. Orlando's salsa is really good and has the perfect kick to it.
Right now, Orlando’s is offering take out in two different ways. You can grab your food from inside the restaurant as usual, or pull into one of the designated parking spaces for curbside pickup. Over the last five months, I’ve ordered curbside take out from a variety of restaurants and Orlando’s has had one of the best experiences. Their online ordering system is easy to use and covers any questions or concerns you might have when ordering food to go. And pick up is quick and flawless. We’ve enjoyed many date nights at home with Orlando’s for dinner!
I personally feel like the menu at Orlando's was unique and filled with variety. I’ve tried quite a few things on the menu, including some of their daily specials. My two favorite things to order are the Honey Lime
Chicken Flautas and a simple Bean and Cheese Burrito with extra cheese. But I haven’t tried something that I didn’t long, so I don’t think you can go wrong when ordering off their menu.
Joe is gluten free so he always orders the Sweet Pork Enchiladas. He gets three enchiladas with rice and beans on the side. Before he was diagnosed with celiac disease, he’d get the Sweet Pork Burritos and loved those as well. I remember after the first time we ate there, he told me that he was still dreaming about that pork and couldn’t wait to get back.
If you like Mexican food, this is definitely a restaurant you should try out. It's one of my favorites that we've been to so far. One of these times we go, I want to make sure that I leave room for dessert. The Strawberry Nachos sound really good and kind of interesting but I also want to try the Fried Ice Cream.
